This file is my 26-page long data analysis and research project that analyzes the environmental conditions that are ideal for the formation of ground-level ozone, and hence provides a general prediction of where to expect smog build-up to occur. It inspects ground-level ozone concentrations in 10 different locations in Southern California, while breaking down the environmental conditions of each location (i.e., average temperature, rainfall, and topography). My background research, procedure, findings, and applications are listed in the file.

In hindsight, this report emphasized to me the importance of data and its inherent application in nearly all fields. The interplay of climate change and data science proved to me to be a powerful combination to study, learn, and utilize.

It was a great pleasure attending the Cal State Los Angeles event held by Citizens' Climate Lobby, and especially being on the panel for Youth Climate Action. I was baffled by the amount of interest others had for my book and efforts, and am charged that we can bridge generational gaps in knowledge and work to achieve the common goal of preservation of our planet.

Here the team assembles just before the start of the ride.
It’s been quite a ride. The California Climate Expedition's ride from June 8th-22nd was unbelievable. 500 miles of biking from San Francisco to LA and $4,000 raised for one main cause: awareness and research for climate change. Huge thank you to the amazing Eric from OnePulse organization and lead professor Alex Hall from UCLA's climate department for partnering together to make this memorable experience possible. As the youngest rider, Arjun had no clue what to expect. Within the span of a few rides, he forged powerful bonds with fellow riders. Feeling grateful after the amazing experience, he advises everyone to follow their passion: get involved and surround yourself with positivity!

Here are some pictures showing Arjun as a child
It was an amazing moment for Arjun when his book was featured in the library window of his elementary and middle school. Big thank you to his middle school librarian Mrs. Harmon for this honor. Arjun was truly delighted to be invited to give a climate change talk to the very young ones on Earth Day. They were curious, attentive and a very good audience that will help guide the reigns of our future. Arjun is very excited for more upcoming opportunities to speak to the youth and engage them in the climate discussion early on. One thing is for sure: the climate change momentum must continue!

Tweet by Swedish teen organizing the March 15 worldwide strike
On March 15, school students in 957 locations around 82 countries will rise up and strike for a safe climate. Inspired by a Swedish teenager, this is the first worldwide strike in favor of pro-climate regulations. This is sure to speak volumes about needed regulations (i.e. emission cuts) as we move into the future. As an American, we can finally begin what is likely to be a long series of protests to eventually cut our carbon emissions. The youth is counting on action by the government; we must be the driving force of this change. Ask around to find if there are any strikes occurring in your community, and get involved!
